Here is how it is done....

This is how I do a 'Ohio Legends' page. Each page start to finish takes 2-3 hours to draw. Scouting for a good story, and research sometimes takes days...

First I start with a fresh Sharpie over a pencil drawing...

Then I rough in some shading to give it form...

A good brush, and bleed proof white defines the lines.

The image is scanned into Corel..

Finally, I set the type for the page and begin my struggle with the grammar. (Patti actually paid attention during 5th grade, and finds many errors in my spellin').
